Our Story & Heritage

Three decades of preserving Gujarat's folk dance traditions in Rajkot.

Rooted in Tradition, Presented with Pride

Kankan Group Rajkot began as a small circle of local performers devoted to Gujarat's Garba and Raas traditions. Over the years, the group grew into a recognized cultural ensemble, best known today for its flagship performance held every year at Dussehra in front of the wider Rajkot community.

Our work is not commercial — we do not perform for private hire or events. Instead, our focus remains on cultural preservation, community celebration, and passing these traditions to the next generation of performers.
